Training Model: Online Learning Combined with In-Person Mentorship

The 12-month Alberta Health Care Aide On-the-Job Training Program blends flexibility with practical experience.

Online Learning

• Completion of coursework and assignments
• Flexible study outside of scheduled work hours

On-Site Practical Training

• Hands-on skill development at AHS training locations
• Direct mentorship and supervision

This hybrid model supports the development of both theoretical knowledge and applied clinical skills required for Health Care Aide certification.
